European History 1
Great for political historians and a good overview of European History from 1450 to 2000. However, if you are an A-level student who's just done, like I had, the period from Unifications through to the end of the Cold War, the second part of the course can be quite repetitive

I am a mature student (47) just about to start my 3rd year. I was away from
education for nearly 30 years, but history was always my favourite subject at
school. I found that both this course and social history 1 a great
reintroduction to history. I agree with you when you say that it gives a good
overview on historical events for the past 400 odd years and allows you to put
into context events that you will look at in closer detail as you go into 2nd
year.
