Referencing Demystified
We all know that referencing is difficult, especially if you're new to the business, but its a necessary evil and if you want good grades, it has to be done correctly. Yet, despite the insistance that you have conform to a uniform ideal, advice from tutors, schools and lecturers if often ambiguous or sketchy, sometimes causing more problems than it was orignally supposed to solve in the first place.
Therefore, the History Society has decided to help. In an attempt to clarify the situation once and for all, we have contacted the Head of History, Dr Trevor Griffiths and persuaded him to publish a guide which explains, explicitly, the do's and don't's of referencing and footnoting.
So, for your definitive guide to one of the most confusing and occaisonally annoying aspects of university life, watch this space!
In the meantime, good luck essay writing!
